If you are visiting this website because you got a card from someone today…welcome!  We hope you were encouraged and that the remainder of your day was fantastic!

So who are the crazy kids that gave you the card?

We are a group of college students from Columbia, SC, here in DC to serve during our Spring Break.

What are we about?

The Gospel of Jesus.  Not organized religion and the connotations that you may have with it.  Not hate-filled language that you may associate with Christianity today.  Not hypocrisy and judment.  We realize that Christianity hasn’t always represented Jesus well and for that we are sorry, and we hope to be a better representation of Jesus to you.  Because, well–He loves you.  Deeply and unmistakably.  He created all of humanity for a love relationship with Him, but we have all rebelled against His love and chosen lesser things to devote ourselves to that in the end leave us desperate and hopeless.  But the good news for all of us is that, while we were still sinners Christ came and died on a cross for the ungodly.  We believe the God of the universe literally came and died for me and for you.  He did this out of an insane love for all of us, that we could respond to His grace by repenting of our sin and enter into a reconciled relationship with Him for all eternity.  Sound too good to be true?  I know!  But it is true, and He is true.

This is the good news of the Gospel that we want to share with you.  We believe two burning longings of the human heart are to be known and to be loved.  The Gospel speaks to both–that God knows you, even the deepest, darkest parts of you that you are ashamed of, and yet He still loves you so much that He came to be slaughtered on a cross so that He could freely invite you back into His family.  You may have never felt wanted in your entire life, and we want to speak the glorious truth to you that although we have all betrayed God with our sin, He wants us back!  He wants you back!  Back in His family, at His table with Him, forever.  This is the good news that has radically changed our lives and that we want to share with you.  God loves you.  Desperately.  And so do we.

If you have any questions or want to talk, please comment below and start a conversation with us!

Grace and peace,

Crazy Metro Kids

“All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.  Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.  We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.  For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

2 Corinthians 5.18-21
